Vanderbilt Kennedy Center

Individualized Family Consultation (IFC) Program

Designed for parents of children with autism spectrum disorders between the ages of 18 months and 5 years, the IFC Program assists families in:

  • Developing individualized goals for their child.
  • Learning a variety of teaching strategies to achieve these goals.

TRIAD’s behavioral consultants will teach parents how to use evidence-based strategies to:

  • increase their child’s social and communication skills
  • improve their child’s ability to participate in everyday family routines, and
  • anticipate and prevent challenging behaviors.

For families living within 30 miles of Vanderbilt, IFC sessions may be provided in the home, in the community, or at Vanderbilt. For families living outside the 30 mile radius, IFC sessions will be held at Vanderbilt.
