PSEP provides cutting-edge information and high-quality support for parents of young children who have, or are suspected of having, an autism spectrum disorder.

Our Mission

Services

Autism specialists provide diagnostic services, information, support, and consultation for parents of children 5 years of age and under and their siblings in areas such as:

  • identifying the characteristics of autism
  • implementing behavior management strategies
  • choosing and evaluating intervention approaches
  • developing children’s social and communication skills during everyday home routines

Clinic Format

  • Participation involves 3 clinic visits.
  • Consultations are individualized to each family.
  • During the first visit, an assessment is conducted to understand the child, identify parents’ needs and concerns, and determine the specific focus of subsequent visits.
  • PSEP is staffed by a TRIAD psychologist, social worker, and autism consultants.
