The Selective Service System

Men with disabilities age 18 years to 26 years must register with Selective Services. Documentation must be provided to state that an individual is not able to serve due to being hospitalized, institutionalized, or a person is physically and/or mentally unable to perform military duty. A family member, caretaker, or friend may help a man with a disability to fill out the registration form if he for any reason is not able.
