Hispanic Outreach Services

Camino Seguro is Tennessee Disability Pathfinder’s database of disability, mental health, and social service agencies with bilingual Spanish-speaking staff across the state of Tennessee. This database is a collaborative effort of the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, Tennessee Disability Pathfinder’s Hispanic Outreach Project, and a partnership of agencies statewide.

The mission of Camino Seguro is to increase cultural competency and accessibility to resources for Spanish-speaking individuals by providing a direct link to service providers who speak Spanish. The database is divided into the three Tennessee regions: East, Middle & West.

Camino Seguro East, Middle, and West

Camino Seguro Middle was the first region created by Tennessee Disability Pathfinder and partner agencies in Middle Tennessee. Camino Seguro West was replicated by the UT Boling Center on Disabilities and partner agencies in West Tennessee. Upon completion of Camino Seguro West , Camino Seguro East was initiated by Tennessee Disability Pathfinder and replicated with partner agencies as a third resource database of service providers with Spanish-speaking staff.

Since its inception, Camino Seguro has successfully grown into a “one stop” resource allowing providers to connect clients across the state to bilingual providers and services. Additional county resources are continuously added to the database as they are determined.
