Last Updated: Wednesday, September 02, 2009

Principal Investigator: Mark Wallace, Ph.D.

Description

Do you suspect that you might be dyslexic?

This research looks at sensory perception in persons with dyslexia. We hope to gain a better understanding of the brain basis for dyslexia.

The study has two parts:

  1. you perform some basic tests of sensory perception (much like playing a video game)
  2. you do similar tests while having a brain scan (there is no risk associated with these scans).

The study can be done in a single session or divided into two sessions.

Participant Criteria

  • Adults 18 to 45 years old
  • with a history of reading disability
  • with NO history of reading disability
  • with normal or corrected-to-normal vision and hearing (glasses or contacts okay)

Compensation

The study lasts around 3 hours, and you will receive $100 for your participation.
