Can Peg Pal (BMN 165) help Adults With PKU ?

Description

"Peg Pal" (BMN 165) is a drug that has been shown to help in reducing blood Phe concentrations in patients with PKU.

We want to know more about:

  • its safety,
  • how much is the right amount to to give people, and
  • whether adults with PKU can learn to safely take this medication themselves.

Participant Criteria

Adults over 16 to 70 with PKU

Compensation

$50 per week and reimbursement for travel

Visit Requirements

varies between 8 and 16 visits
