We are investigating if the drug divalproex sodium is able to treat abnormal EEG’s without seizures, as well as behavioral and neurological symptoms in children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
Participation in the study lasts ~30 weeks (7 months). During one half of the study the patients will receive the active drug. In the other half, they will receive placebo.
Study visits may involve:
Children 4—8 years old
Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
Who have abnormal EEG’s without seizures (Will be confirmed in initial screening visits)
$50.00 gift card after completing the study
10 visits to the hospital with free parking
