Medication Study for Children with Autism

Description

We are looking for children ages 6-12 with Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, or PPD-NOS to see if a new medication called memantine helps with social and communication problems.

The study lasts for 48 weeks and you could come to Vanderbilt up to 13 times. There is no cost to you to participate.

All children in this study receive medicine and your child may qualify to participate in other studies with memantine.

Participant Criteria

We are looking for children ages 6-12 with Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, or PPD-NOS.

Compensation

Study evaluations and medicine at no cost.
