The Vanderbilt Kennedy Center institutes fees for services for graphic design and production, web design and programming, and video editing and production. Although funding for staff that provide these services is provided through the Center’s P30 core grant from NICHD and through its University support, providing these services involves costly equipment and supplies. The fees help offset supply costs and equipment replacement.
NICHD encourages its national intellectual and developmental disabilities research centers to implement fees for services, and many of the other centers have had fee systems in place for some time. The Vanderbilt Kennedy Center announced plans to institute a fee system with its renewal application five years ago. We delayed implementation but believe that in the interest of good stewardship of resources, we should do so now.
These low rates are available only for projects related to the core mission of the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center.
