Research Communication Services

Maintains dissemination database and web site, manages electronic communication, including organization-wide "Monday Morning Message" and specialized distribution lists; develops and disseminates print materials describing Center and research projects; writes news releases and manages media releases.

Media relations: News isn't always good. If you become aware of a "bad news" situation, please notify Jan Rosemergy, who will immediately notify Vanderbilt News and Public Affairs.

Research Lectures, Conferences, and Seminars

Plans, schedules, coordinates, and manages the Center's research events: Lectures on Human Development and Developmental Disabilities, Developmental Disabilities Grand Rounds, Neuroscience Graduate Seminars, research conferences, and meetings. Researchers may contact us to schedule meetings with guest lecturers.

Services include:

  • Event planning
  • Handling correspondence; arranging transportation, lodging, and meals
  • Planning agenda and arranging meeting facilities
  • Producing and disseminating preliminary and final conference programs
  • Handling publicity
  • Organizing registration
  • Arranging technical support
  • Processing reimbursement of lecturers or conference participants
  • Coordinating reservation for Room 241 research event space (reservation form and policies)

Research Ethics Education

Continuing education events, held twice per academic year, covering a broad range of topics related to ethical considerations in research and clinical service.

Support for Membership and Governance Committees

Coordinates and supports Kennedy Center Membership Committee, National Scientific Advisory Board

Visiting Scholars Program

Visiting faculty scholars collaborate with VKC researchers and are appointed for specific time periods with approval of the VKC Director.
