Brain development in children with disabilities; behaviors which lead to early identification of children with autism; development in younger siblings of children with autism; sleep in children with autism; EEG correlates of language and social development in children with autism; temperament in children with autism; advocacy for educational, social, and emotional needs of gifted children. In addition to her research interests, Dr. Henderson is responsible for assisting Center investigators in recruiting children and adults to take part in research. Toward that end, she fosters ongoing and new relationshiips with community and state agencies, medical and behavioral health clinics, school systems, and disability-related organizations and agencies. She disseminates Center and research project materials at local, state, and national conferences and meetings. She maintains the Center's StudyFinder web-based list of studies seeking participants.
