Angela Bechtel brings both professional and personal experience with disabilies to Pathfinder. While earning her Master's of Science in Social Work (MSSW) from the University of Tennessee/College of Social Work, Bechtel interned at the Tennessee Council on Developmental Disabilities, where she concurrently completed the Partners in Policymaking Leadership Institute. She is also a single mother to three daughters ages 15, 13, and 10, and a son, 9, who has autism.

Bechtel's primary role as Information and Referral Services Coordinator is to perform efficient, appropriate needs assessment, resource linkage, and follow-up services for Pathfinder clients with disabilities, their support networks, and public/private agencies looking for disability and related social services in Tennessee. She is also responsible for researching and networking with relevant community resources, writing articles pertaining to disabilties for various publications, and developing/implementing Pathfinder training presentations.
