John Staubitz, M.Ed., BCBA

Overview

John Staubitz develops and conducts trainings and workshops for parents, school personnel and community providers, as well as provides consultation services for students with autism spectrum disorder. He has earned a B.S. degree in Special Education from The Ohio State University and an M.Ed. Degree in Special Education and Behavior Analysis from Vanderbilt University. Staubits is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and holds K-12 Modified Special Education teaching credentials in the state of Tennessee. In the past, he has served as a Behavior Analyst and Special Education Consultant overseeing school- and home-based programs for Manhattan Beach Unified School District; worked as a Special Education teacher serving grades 9-12 in the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District as well as grades 2-7 for Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools; worked as an Exceptional Education Instructor serving grades 5-6 for Nashville-area charter school. In addition, Staubitz served as Research Assistant for Vanderbilt Behavior Research Center; as Behavior Intervention therapist for Columbus Children’s Hospital Autism Center/Delaware County; and as Program Director for Cincinnati Recreation Commission’s Division of Therapeutic Recreation.
