Overview

Overview: As a graduate student in clinical psychology at the University of Michigan, I gained experience in diagnostic assessment of individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). My research focused on novel ways to use diagnostic instrument scores as measures of autism severity that can be applied to children across age, IQ, and language levels. Our team used these severity scores to estimate developmental trajectories of children with ASD. Now a postdoctoral research fellow on the NIMH Training Grant "Development of Psychopathology: From Brain and Behavioral Science to Intervention" (T32-MH18921, PI: Judy Garber, Ph.D.), I am interested in the gene, brain, and behavioral intersection of ASD and mood and anxiety symptoms. My long-term research interests focus on developing measures of and interventions for psychiatric disorders that commonly co-occur with ASD.
