Elizabeth Turner has earned bachelor's and master's degrees in English from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee. Prior to coming on board at Vanderbilt, she worked for several years as a journalist and section editor for the Herald-Citizen Newspaper in Cookeville.

As Communications Coordinator, Elizabeth maintains the VKC's social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), coordinates travel and agendas for visiting speakers, drafts the weekly "Monday Morning Message" e-newsletter, and contributes stories for the VKC Web site and the Kennedy Center's quarterly publication, Discovery. She is honored to be a part of such an altruistic organization as the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center.
