Cecilia Melo-Romie provides bilingual services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and their legal representatives throughout Tennessee. She furnishes information about Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (DIDD) resources, and she helps individuals and families access, interpret, and complete applications for services. Melo-Romie works with other Pathfinder staff to identify community-based services, supports, and providers for families. She provides training for family support coordinators and DIDD staff, as well as document translation and interpreter services. Melo-Romie updates and verifies agency information in the statewide Camino Seguro Bilingual Database, and she identifies bilingual providers throughout Tennessee. She is also responsible for increasing public awareness of the Hispanic Outreach program through news media and networking activities.
