Overview

Jennifer Gilbert is a research associate for Donald Compton, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Special Education, who is currently investigating the predictors and subtypes of late-emerging reading disabilities. Her research focus is on the application of advanced statistical methods to educational data. She is currently preparing manuscripts with several investigators using classification analyses, crossed random-effects modeling, multinomial logistic regression, and structural equation modeling to answer questions regarding executive functioning, intervention efficacy, morphology, orthography, and prediction of reading difficulties.

As the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center Quantitative Services Educational Director, Gilbert organizes bi-monthly statistical/methodological talks for faculty, staff, and students.
