Laura McLeod oversees special projects and seeks funding for VKC clinics and community outreach programs. Along with the Communications Coordinator, she is the conference planner for the annual Gatlinburg Conference. She identifies potential corporate and family foundations for funding opportunities and writes grant proposals. She has been successful in securing grants from such foundations as the Academy of Country Music, CVS Caremark, Neighbor’s Keeper Foundation, and the Don and Roy Splawn Charitable Fund. Current efforts are focused on funding for the Reading Clinic, the summer camps programs, and sibling support programs. She also serves as the volunteer coordinator for the Center and plans events for VKC staff.

McLeod's previous work experience involved event and project management in music publishing.
