Call for Posters for VKC Science Day 2013 closing on Nov. 16

The call for posters is now open for the VKC Science Day 2013, scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, in Vanderbilt University's Student Life Center. Submittals will be taken through Friday, Nov. 16.

Cash prizes will be awarded to an undergraduate student, graduate student, and postdoctoral fellow for best poster in each of the following research themes:

Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience
Clinical, Behavioral, and Intervention
Systems Neuroscience

Posters submissions are also encouraged from research staff and are eligible for prizes by corresponding degree level. All poster presenters (first authors) become VKC Affiliates and are eligible to compete for VKC Travel Awards to present at a scientific or professional conference in the next year. Posters presented at other scientific or professional meetings in the last year are eligible for submission.

Poster abstract submissions may be made by clicking here. Deadline for submissions is Friday, Nov. 16. Space is limited.

Science Day 2012 presenters/attendees said they valued “the mixing of the large range of different interests at a single event,” "the opportunity to present to faculty-priceless,” and "the collaborative and community feel.” One participant even said, "VKC Science Day is one of the best things at Vanderbilt.”
