The Tennessee Department of Education collaborates with Vanderbilt Kennedy Center TRIAD to provide teacher training to those staff who work with children with autism. The training consists of 3 days of hands-on experience with children with autism, plus the opportunity to receive a site visit in the trainee’s setting within 2 months of the training. Training topics include assessment, goal development, instructional strategies, and data collection. Applicants can include general and special education teachers, speech-language therapists, related service personnel, behavior consultants, or other school personnel involved in educating students with autism. Please Note: You must have attended a basic level TTT and had a successful follow-up site visit to attend this training.
Registration is free. To register for the workshop, please contact Linda Copas with the Tennessee Department of Education via email or (615) 741-7790.
