Description

What community resources are available for individuals with disabilities transitioning from school to employment?

Please join us for an informative training to learn more about the following services available through the presenting agencies:

  • Support and advocacy services to prepare for transitioning from school
  • A statewide clearinghouse of disability-related information, including recreational resources
  • A place where employers can find workers and job seekers can receive assistance in finding a job
  • Assessment and training services for individuals with disabilities to prepare for and obtain employment
  • Work-based training program through community service assignments

Continuing Education credits are available for social workers only,

The workshop will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. at the Northwest Tennessee Workforce Board, located at 313 West Cedar St., Dyersburg.

This event is sponsored by Tennessee Disability Pathfinder and the Northwest Tennessee Workforce Board. Attendance is free of charge, but registration is required for providers.
