TRIAD Early Childhood Training Webinar: Unlocking Autism

Session I: 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. CST
Session II: 3:00-4:30 p.m. CST
The content for these sessions will be identical. Participants should choose the time that works best for their schedule.

The Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE) and Vanderbilt Kennedy Center Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders (TRIAD) are pleased to announce a new webinar training. This workshop is designed specifically for parents, teachers and other professionals working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and related disabilities enrolled in Local Education Agency (LEA) early childhood programs. This workshop is a beginner level training for those who need basic knowledge regarding ASD and strategies to support students.

This new interactive 3-hour web-based training will take place online and will focus on helping participants:

  • Understand the core characteristics of autism spectrum disorders in young children (including diagnostic, cognitive, and sensory challenges and how these impact learning, routines, and relationships
  • Learn effective strategies to integrate into the classroom and during every day routines

An email with log in information will be sent one week prior to the start of the training.
