The Tennessee Department of Education in collaboration with Vanderbilt’s Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders (TRIAD) will provide a new 2-day workshop focused on teaching classroom management strategies designed for early childhood educators and paraprofessionals who directly serve students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), related disabilities, and other diverse learning styles enrolled in Local Education Agency early childhood programs.
This workshop will consist of a combination of lecture, video demonstration, small group discussion and opportunities to practice using techniques during hands-on activities and creation of supports for participants to develop materials for use in their classroom. During this workshop, participants will learn about adult and student-focused management strategies based in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

This workshop will take place in each region of the state and will be open to forty (40) participants.
*Participants must attend both days in order to receive a certificate of completion. Admission will be by application only. Deadline for registration is Jan. 2, 2014, two weeks prior to Day 1 of the workshop, or until full.
