Vanderbilt’s Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders (TRIAD) will provide a hands-on teacher training to certified teachers, related service providers, and consultants who directly serve students with autism and have previously attended a Summer or Winter Institute or Basic TRIAD Teacher Training (TTT). This professional development opportunity is sponsored by the Tennessee Department of Education.
ATTT is a unique 3-day workshop consisting of a combination of didactic instruction, video demonstration, live demonstration, application activities, and hands-on practice with students with ASD. Training topics include assessment, development of goals, application of evidence-based practices to teach new skills, and data collection.
Participants will leave the workshop with a set of goals individualized to their education setting needs. These goals will be developed in collaboration with a TRIAD consultant, and each participant will receive a follow-up site visit approximately 4-6 weeks after completion of the training.
Participants must attend all three days to be eligible for the site visit, and must participate in a site visit in order to receive a certificate of completion.
Deadline for registration is Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014,two weeks prior to Day 1 of the workshop, or until full.
