Support & Training for Exceptional Parents (STEP) will be putting on a Special Education Basic Rights Workshop on Wednesday, Sept. 26, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in Room 241, Vanderbilt Kennedy Center/One Magnolia Circle. Presenting at the workshop will be Middle Tennessee STEP Coordinator Joey Ellis.
This workshop is designed for parents of children in special education or that might need special education. Come and gain a working knowledge of special education laws, including your role in the development of an appropriate education program (IEP) and how to be an effective partner with the school team in the process.
This workshop is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Admission is limited to 50 people.
