This two-day training will take place in each grand region of the state. The workshop, conducted by TRIAD staff, will be geared specifically toward those para-educators who work with students with autism spectrum disorders in grades K-12 and will cover topics including: characteristics of autism spectrum disorders, behavior management principles, instructional strategies, and how to integrate different methodologies. The training will provide opportunities for participants to practice techniques during hands-on activities create visual supports to take back to the classroom, and problem-solve through challenges they face with particular students.
Location of this workshop will be sent to participants upon acceptance to the workshop.
