This advanced level Teacher Training is geared towards teachers who have completed TRIAD’s Basic Teacher Training and were recommended by a TRIAD educational consultant for this training. The workshop will be conducted over three consecutive days and include lecture, video, demonstrations, activities, make it/take it, and hands-on application opportunities with students who have a diagnosis of an autism spectrum disorder. Topic areas covered will include classroom-based assessment strategies, the creation of appropriate goals, data collection, and the use of evidence-based intervention strategies introduced during the Basic training to target communication, challenging behavior, and social skills in more depth. Each participant will receive a follow-up visit at their school by a TRIAD educational consultant within two months of the workshop. The scope of the workshop and subsequent site visit will not be student-specific.
Location of this training will be sent to participants upon acceptance to the workshop.
