This basic level TRIAD Teacher Training for High School teachers provides a unique opportunity for teachers to receive autism-specific training focused on transitional and vocational goals. The workshop will be conducted over three consecutive days and include lecture, video, demonstrations, activities, make it/take it, and hands-on application opportunities with students who have a diagnosis of an autism spectrum disorder. Topic areas covered will include characteristics of autism, structure, developing supports, communication, evidence-based interventions for increasing skills, behavior, and transition/vocational planning. Each participant will receive a follow-up visit at their school by a TRIAD educational consultant within two months of the workshop.
Location for this training will be sent to participants upon acceptance to the workshop.
