Fragile X syndrome is one focal point of work at the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center. Family members and friends, researchers, clinicians, students, community professionals, and disability advocates are invited to this evening forum to learn how the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center is advancing understanding of Fragile X syndrome.

Listen to multiple researchers and clinicians as they discuss new discoveries and plans of research. Speakers and topics include:

• Niru Madduri, M.D.: “Crossing into Adulthood: A Medical and Developmental Perspective on Transitioning Individuals with Fragile X Syndrome"
• Julie Lounds Taylor, Ph.D.: "A Research Update on the Transition to Adulthood for Youth with Developmental Disorders"
• Elise McMillan, J.D.: "Accessing Services and Managing the Legal Issues During the Transition to Adulthood"
• Jeremy Veenstra-VanderWeele, M.D.: "Promising Treatments Emerging for Adolescents and Adults with Fragile X Syndrome"

Sponsored by the Fragile X Treatment Research Program, this event will be held on Monday, Aug. 20, at 6:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Nashville-Vanderbilt, located at 2613 West End Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203.
