The Department of Education, Division of Special Education, in collaboration with the Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders (TRIAD) of the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center, are pleased to announce the 2011 training opportunity for para-educators who work with students with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) in the public schools. This 2-day training will take place in each grand region of the state and will be open to sixteen (16) trainees in each location. The workshop, conducted by TRIAD staff, will be geared specifically toward those para-educators who work with students with autism in grades K-12 and will cover topics including:
