Offered by the Department of Education, Division of Special Education, in collaboration with the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders (TRIAD).
Designed for parents and professionals supporting middle school and high school students with autism spectrum disorders. Intermediate-level training focused on improving academic and functional achievement to facilitate movement from school to post-school activities, including:
Examples and activities will be used to apply strategies across a spectrum of ability levels. Participants will learn how to assess the individual needs, strengths, preferences, and interests of students for transition planning, and will learn strategies and tools to support students in a variety of settings.
