The Department of Education, Division of Special Education, in collaboration with the Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders (TRIAD) of the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center, are pleased to announce a new two-day workshop designed specifically for early childhood educators, including teachers and other professionals who are responsible for evaluating, setting goals, and providing intervention to children ages 3-5 with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) enrolled in state-supported early childhood programs. This no-cost workshop will combine lecture, small group discussion, video footage of strategies, and the development of classroom materials to accomplish the following outcomes for educators of pre-K children:
This two-day training will take place in each grand region of the state and will be open to forty (40) early childhood (ages 3-5 not in Kindergarten) professionals in each location. Admission will be by application only.
