Tennessee Adult Brothers and Sisters (TABS) Conference

Friday, April 16, 12-7:30 p.m.
Saturday, April 17, 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

This conference will empower and educate adult siblings who have a brother or a sister with a disability with information and resources, and will develop local and statewide networks of adult siblings.

Keynote speakers will be:

• Leslie Rubin, M.D., President, Institute for the Study of Disadvantage and Disability; Medical Director, TEAM Centers, Chattanooga TN; Co-director, Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit, Emory University
• Ann Kaiser, Ph.D., Professor of Special Education; Susan Gray Chair in Education and Human Development; Professor of Psychology, Peabody College; Vanderbilt Kennedy Center Investigator

Additional speakers include:

• Nora Handler, "The Sandwich Generation"
• Mary Catherine Kelly and David Howell, "Special Needs Trust"
• Carole Moore-Slater and Dr. Jim Powers, "Aging and Disabilities"
• Sharon Conley and Carol Rabideau, "Having the Difficult Conversation"

Registration fee of $50 ($25 for students) covers registration, meals, a conference t-shirt, and materials. After April 1, the registration fee will increase to $60 ($35 for students), so be sure to register early! (Limited financial assistance available.)

Hotel room rate $119 + tax per night. Free parking at the hotel.
