Vanderbilt Kennedy Center

Developmental Disabilities Grand Rounds

To promote Center cohesiveness and scientific communication among researchers and clinicians, the VKC sponsors this monthly series during the academic year. Researchers and clinicians from across the University attend presentations by VKC investigators or other Vanderbilt faculty. The series includes a balance of biological, behavioral, and educational research related to development and developmental disabilities. Attendees may receive CME credit. Beginning in Fall 2008, the Grand Rounds series is being planned by the VKC Interdisciplinary Training Council, to strengthen the relationship between the series and Vanderbilt research and clinical training programs related to the VKC mission including:

  • Biobehavioral Interventions Training Program
  • Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Training
  • Developmental Psychopathology Research Training
  • Neuroscience Graduate Program
  • Nursing
  • Peabody Graduate Education
  • Psychiatry--Child and Adolescent
  • Special Education Graduate Programs
  • Tennessee Developmental Disabilities Council
  • VKC UCEDD Training

The series also is being co-sponsored by the newly created Division of Developmental Medicine and Cognition, to strengthen the relationship between the series and Vanderbilt Pediatrics and the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt; and by the Vanderbilt Brain Institute, to strengthen the relationship with neuroscience training.
