Zooper Heroes is a camp for children with disabilities who will benefit from having individual support from a parent or professional and for parents who wish to experience the learning opportunities with their child. Campers will meet animals in the classroom, visit exhibits throughout the zoo, make crafts, and play games to connect information discussed in the classroom with the animal kingdom. Zooper Heroes is a collaboration with Vanderbilt Kennedy Center’s Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders (TRIAD).
***'Camp Dates for 2014: June 30 - July 3, 2014. Space for the camp is limited to 15 slots; Cost for Nashville Zoo Members is $175.00; Non-members is $200.00 (Parent, Guardian, or Paraprofessional is free)****
Serves children 7 years to 12 years. Campers are asked to have an adult with them each day of camp, with no additional cost for the adult. This can be a parent, guardian, or paraprofessional.
Office Hours: Mon-Thurs, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM; Camp Hours: Mon-Thurs, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
