A state government agency that provides the following financial assistance programs to those who qualify: Families First - temporary cash assistance program; Food Stamp Program/Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) - nutritional assistance program, EBT Helpline (1-888-997-9444); Child Care Resource & Referral; & Adult Protective Services - investigates reports of abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation of adults (1-888-277-8366); Medicaid/TennCare applications for health insurance coverage must be completed through Healthcare.gov or calling (1-800-318-2596; TTY: 1-855-889-4325). Healthcare.gov kiosk are available in DHS offices.
Serves all ages; eligibility criteria may vary based on program. Must meet income guidelines.
