Services Summary

Athletes Building Life Experiences (ABLE): ABLE is a wheelchair sports and independence program which focuses on raising the quality of life for children using wheelchairs. ABLE Youth offers activities such as independent living skills such as dressing, wheeled mobility, self care issues, driving with hand controls, job interview training and possible placements, parent support groups, etc. Recreational activities include wheelchair basketball, tennis, deep sea fishing, snow and water skiing, cheerleading, dolphin encounters, and adaptive golf, bowling, and archery.

Eligibility Guidelines

3 years to 22 years; Participation criteria: Must be able to follow directions and propel wheelchair independently.
