Vanderbilt's Murine Neurobehavioral Lab (MNL) is a shared resource, available for all researchers with appointments in the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The MNL is supported by the Vanderbilt Center for Molecular Neuroscience, the Kennedy Center, and by fees assessed for usage. Non-VUMC personnel may also use the facility.

Equipment. Resources include open field activity chambers, acoustic startle chambers, operant conditioning chambers, drug self-administration chambers, a Morris watermaze, automated elevated plus mazes, Barnes maze, T-maze, 8-arm radial maze, and items necessary for doing an Irwin screen (e.g., rotorod).

Reservations. We use an on-line calendar to sign up for room time. Reservations are required to use any of the behavioral testing equipment. Contact John (LH 851, 2-0794) for arranging access to the calendar.
