Children, Youth & Family Consortium, a site of the University of Minnesota, features articles and research useful for everything from practical parenting to formulating policies, and designing and implementing programs. Includes material from annual Family Re-Union Conference.

KIDS FIRST evaluates and rates children's films, videos, DVDs, audio recordings, software, and television; it is a program of the Coalition for Quality Children's Media.

National Center for Early Development and Learning focuses on enhancing the cognitive, social, and emotional development of children from birth through 8 years.

National Parent Information Network provides research-based information about the process of parenting, and about family involvement in education.

Parenting.org is a service of Girls and Boys Town. The site provides a variety of information, with some emphasis on behavior.

Parenting Resources for the 21st Century links parents and other adults responsible for the care of a child with information on issues covering the full spectrum of parenting. This site, federally sponsored through the Coordinating Council on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, strives to help families meet the today's challenges of raising a child by addressing topics that include school violence, child development, home schooling, organized sports, child abuse, and the juvenile justice system.

Play Nicely is an interactive CD ROM that teaches parents, health care professionals, counselors, and child care teachers the basics in aggression management for children ages 1 to 7 years. It was developed by a Vanderbilt University pediatrician and can be purchased for $15.

Sesame Street Parents, produced by Sesame Street, contains articles on behavior/discipline, education, family & community, heath, and safety issues. It also has a child development section that allows parents to pick topics related to their child's age range. It features activities for parents and kids, and a listing of child related product reviews.

Zero to Three is the nation's leading resource on the first three years of life. The site provides information for parents, which includes Parenting A to Z, Tip of the Week, BrainWonders, and more.
