The Ann and Monroe Carell Jr. Families First Program

The Ann and Monroe Carell Jr. Families First Program is a monthly workshop series for parents of children (ages 2-5) diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Register for this month's workshop

      Program is free of charge.
      Learn how to enhance social and communication skills and how to manage challenging behaviors.
      Featuring talks by leading clinicians, researchers, and advocates from Vanderbilt and the surrounding community.
      Lunch is provided.

2008 Schedule

All Families First workshops take place in room 241 Vanderbilt Kennedy Center/MRL Building.

  • Orientation, 8:30 a.m. - 10 a.m.
    An introductory orientation will be held on each workshop date, immediately preceding the workshop. Parents need attend only one of the orientation sessions.
  • Improving Communication, 10:15 a.m. - 2 p.m.
    March 15, June 21, September 20, or December 6
  • Enhancing Social Interactions, 10:15 a.m.- 2 p.m.
    April 26, July 26, or October 18
  • Addressing Challenging Behaviors, 10:15 a.m.- 2 p.m.
    May 10, August 16, or November 15
